More Information about Mr. Uzomba:

Mr. Emeka Uzomba is a former banker with over 24 years’ experience covering treasury, trade finance, debt capital markets, assets & liabilities management, correspondent banking/international financial institutions, commercial banking and banking operations.

Mr. Uzomba was a General Manager at Nova Merchant Bank Limited in charge of business development with responsibilities for the bank’s structured and specialized businesses including Oil & Gas, Maritime, Telecoms, Agribusiness, Infrastructure and Public Sector Groups. Prior to that, he was the Group Treasurer and Head of Financial Institutions at Diamond Bank Plc, a position he held for several years having joined Treasury early in his career as a trainee Dealer and rose through the ranks before his appointment as the Treasurer. He also has experience leading on strategy, special initiatives, advisory work, market development, capacity building and risk management.

Mr. Uzomba holds an MBA in Banking & Finance from the University of Nigeria (Enugu Campus) and Bachelor of Science degree in Geography & Meteorology from the Anambra State University of Technology, Enugu.

Mr. Uzomba  is an alumnus of the Senior Management Program at the Lagos Business School and as well as London Business School where he studied Corporate Finance.

  • A Finance and Investment Analyst with over 10 years of experience.
  • Works in partnership with CFOs, Investment directors to conduct feasibilities studies and supports, direct investments and funds management.
  • Source new investments and manage portfolios as applicable.
  • Conducts financial and business performance analysis as well as research micro and macro-economic conditions.
  • In addition, I enjoy analyzing and building robust financial models with sensitivity analysis.  The models quantify and support my recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Education and certifications

About Dr. Cheikh Traore: CEO GOAE Trading Limited, CMO & SVP Go Africa LLC

  • Self -Made leader, well established in the African Ecosystem of thought leaders
  • 20 years of experience in health and providing provisional technical assistance to governments, municipalities, NGOs and United Nation agencies.

Dr. Cheikh Traore  is a bi-national of Nigeria and Mauritania.  He finished high school at 17 in Mauritania, then  ventured  to Senega for  studies at Cheikh Anta Diop University for 4 years. He then moved to Abidjan, Cote d Ivoire  to complete his medical studies in 1996.

After a short career as a general medical practitioner in Lagos Bigeria, he moved to London for his post graduate studies in nutrition and public health. He lived in London for several years where he served as a  health policy adviser for the Mayor of London during seven years  In London he was an active member of African civil society groups in the UK for several years .

After a 3-year position at the United Nations Development Programme in New York he moved back to Nigeria to set up a health consulting practice  and support his family’s  hospitality business.

Since 2015. he has been actively supporting the establishment  of GOAE Trading Limited in Nigeria.

Welcome Mr. Edward Kofi Osei to the Go Africa Executive Board!

Go Africa LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. Edward Kofi Osei, to our Executive Board of Directors with immediate effect.  It is our good fortune to have an individual of Osei’s  caliber join us in leading Go Africa successfully into the future. We are very pleased that he has accepted our offer to join our Executive Board.

Mr. Edward Kofi Osei, is currently the Director of Tema Port in Ghana and has 35 years of professional experience in Corporate America inclusive of 5 Master’s Degrees.

  • Edward Kofi Osei started work as the Director of the Ghana’s  largest Port, the Port of Tema in April 2017 after been appointed by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo to oversee the largest Port in Ghana.
  • Since manning affairs at the Tema Port, the revenue of the Port of Tema increased by 24% in 2017 while turnaround time of vessels improved by 20%. And Under his leadership cargo throughput also increased from 14 million tons in 2017 to 16 million tons in 2018.
  • Mr. Osei  was a Partner at the law firm of Osei & Nelson in New Jersey and taught Corporate Law, Contracts and Taxation at Widener University. Before that, Mr. Osei worked in Senior Management positions at Astra Zeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pepsi Cola and Kodak.
  • Mr. Osei has a BSc in Business Administration from University of Ghana and five master’s Degrees; International Business Management -Baylor University, International Affairs – Yale, MBA -Stanford, Juris Doctor of Law -Temple University, Philadelphia and LLM in Taxation – New York University Law school.

The Tema Port In Ghana  has also become the most attractive Port for Ghana’s landlocked countries of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger which led to an increase in Transit Trade by 23.8% in 2017.

During his tenure, Edward Osei facilitated an Increase in equipment and spare parts acquisition for the daily operational activities of the Port of Tema and significantly empowered staff and management to know and understand their customer requirements and how to satisfy clients of the Port and Port users alike.
