Sustainable agriculture is largely driven by interconnected systems across the value chain.  To this end, I-Go Africa (Kenya) and Go Africa Global announces launch of the I-Go Lima mobile app on Google Play Store. the I-Glo Lima mobile app serves a platform to connect farmers with mechanized, milling services and other services provided by I-Go Africa to bring to market forward looking solutions that will digitize agricultural production and sales in Kenya and East Africa.

Indigenous Go Africa (I-Go Africa) led by Hilary Akhaabi, PhD, is pioneering rice production in Kenya by providing mechanized services to farmers in the Bunyala Rice Scheme. I-Go Africa has entered into partnerships with Cooperative societies within the Bunyala Rice Scheme to provide mechanization services with the fleet of tractors and harvesters it owns. I-Go Africa also purchases rice paddy and provides value addition and package rice for sales to local markets via its partnerships with local distributors.

We have built this platform to ensure farmers get access to services, that increase production,, and productivity as well as access to  markets for their finished products,, through the Victoria Grain, rice brand,” states Dr Akhaabi, Lead Director at I-Go Africa. “I-Go Africa is also open to partnering with various cooperative societies and distributors today and in the evolving future for this and other partnership opportunities that may arise over time.

Update for I-Go Africa Kenya

After his studies in the United States and a 16-year long career in corporate America, Kenyan-American Mr. Hilary Akhaabi, Ph.D, decided to return to his motherland to embark on a new journey, in pursuit of his dream to achieve food security in Kenya.

He identified local talent who share the same vision and possess credentials in trade policy, as well as experience in regional and global trade. Together, they incorporated Indigenous Go Africa Limited (I-Go Africa) a Kenyan based affiliate of Go Africa LLC and began operations in 2021 specializing in rice production.

I-Go Africa’s goal is to offer a sustainable agriculture model through value addition while empowering women and youth among other marginalized groups

About Mr. Lahai Leslie Lymon 

Mr. Lymon has over over 15 years of experience in business development and Political advisory spanning through Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia, and is fluent in French, English and conversational Arabic.

Mr. Lymon graduated with a specialty  in International Relation and Political Science from  Hult Business School / Huron University in 2005, where Mr. Lymon also studied for his Masters (M.A.) in International Relations. Mr Lymon  leverages on his vast global contacts network, geographical knowledge, cultural awareness and sensitivity, to ensure a favorable, profitable, sustainable and efficient conclusion in all his dealings.

About Dr. Neeraj Mistry:

Dr. Mistry brings a wealth of experience in the areas of global governmental & non-governmental agency relationships and exposure to the team in the areas of agriculture, finance and trade.

Dr. Mistry’s near-term goals and objectives are to assist in our growth and expansion in financial relationships and trade in the region while also assisting the East & West Africa & European teams were applicable.

Professional experience:

Dr. Neeraj Mistry is a global health executive and public health physician with 20+ years of experience in non-profits, business, academia, and multilateral organizations. A South African national, his leadership experience includes delivering innovative initiatives to promote health, financing, and development in close partnership with donor governments, foundations, foreign ministries, and Fortune 500 companies.

Dr. Neeraj Mistry is a Professor at Georgetown University in the Department of International Health, where he teaches and researches the intersection of globalization and health, mental health, and international partnerships.

His former roles include, founding member and former Vice President of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC), Managing Director of The Global Network for Neglected Tropical Diseases, and Chief Medical Officer of Health Business Solutions.

Dr. Mistry received his Master’s degree in Health Policy and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and completed his medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa.
